About
How Know Your Cryptos came to life
The idea for Know Your Cryptos first came to me in 2022. At the time, I was studying at the University of Nicosia for an MSc in Blockchain and Digital Currency, so the project did not get much further than the initial idea.
Still, the concept stayed with me: could learning about the large and sometimes confusing crypto ecosystem be made more visual, interactive, and fun?
Years later, I returned to the idea and began experimenting with a Python and Streamlit quiz application. The small prototype gradually grew to include more crypto projects, more game modes, and more ways to learn while playing. Eventually, I decided to rebuild it as a full mobile application.
Know Your Cryptos brings together several long-running interests: education, technology, computer science, programming, blockchain and cryptocurrency, cybersecurity, and learning through games. More recently, artificial intelligence and machine learning have become part of that mix, too.
I have spent more than two decades in education while continuing to study and work with technology. My graduate studies include Curriculum and Instruction as well as the MSc in Blockchain and Digital Currency from the University of Nicosia.
KYC is independently designed and developed, and it continues to evolve as both a game and a learning project.

2022: The idea
The first concept for Know Your Cryptos takes shape while I am studying Blockchain and Digital Currency at the University of Nicosia.
-
2
Putting the idea aside
With graduate studies taking most of my attention, KYC remains an idea rather than becoming a full project.
-
3
The prototype
I return to the concept and build an early version using Python and Streamlit to see whether learning crypto through quiz-style games could work.
-
4
Growing the game
The crypto database expands, additional categories and game modes are added, and KYC begins to grow beyond the original prototype.
-
5
Mobile development
I rebuild the project as a dedicated mobile application, with iOS as the first target platform.

6
Toward release
Development, testing, artwork, game content, and refinement continue as KYC moves toward a public release.
